The Society for Information Display, SID, is an important organization for the display industry and anyone involved in displays or display-related products. Within the organization is the Definitions and Standards Committee that includes the International Committee for Display Metrology, ICDM.
The ICDM makes available as a free download the full Information Display Measurements Standard (https://www.sid.org/Standards/ICDM#8271483-idms-download). This excellent 805 page PDF covers a very extensive range of metrics relating to displays. They even have sections on touch screen performance measurement.
