Wrapping up Display Week, these are the highlights of new LCD controller solutions that we unveiled at the show:

SVX-4096-SDM 
Part Number: 4176700XX-3

SVX-4096-SDM LCD controller incorporates an Intel® SDM interface for Large and Small size SDM cards and direct video input up to 4096×2160. LCD panel resolutions are supported up to 4096×2160 (60Hz & 120Hz using IE-2000).  The SVX-4096-SDM LCD controller is ideal for large public displays for digital signage and wayfinding, as well as for the new generation of digital whiteboards with integrated PC’s.

Addressing the growing demand for IOT type device data and control, the SVX-4096-SDM features connections for temperature sensors and fans. In addition, there is an internal USB connection for a camera and a PCIe connector for expansion cards.

Panel support covers V-by-One, LVDS and eDP with easy to configure switch settings for panel timing. Digital View provides panel connection guides via its online Controller Solution Generator (CSG) web page. This also provides reference for cables, buttons and other options.

 

 

DD-1920-HDMI-EDPT

A leading LCD controller that will support eDP panels, the DD-1920-HDMI-EDPT adds to the Digital View DD-1920 family of controllers. It is a  compact HDMI input, general purpose solution for LCD panels up to 1920×1200 resolution. One of the key features of this highly reliable controller is the low signal latency from input signal to output signal. It is most closely comparable to Digital View’s DD-1920-HDMI-T. Both have HDMI input and are only 4mm thick, but the DD-1920-HDMI-EDPT has eDP panel connectivity compared to LVDS for the DD-1920 HDMI-T.

 

 

BLUETOOTH INTERFACE FOR MENU FUNCTIONS
Use a smartphone as a remote control – in addition to the new controller boards, we showcased our new smartphone-based application paired with a Bluetooth interface to provide control of functions on Digital View LCD controllers. The app can be customized to single button functions, ie., hotkeys, slider controls and other user interface styles, as well as custom branding. The range is 50-80 ft. and is very fast with excellent connection reliability. Most likely, common functions will be power on/off, input selection and brightness.
