The new SVX-2560 LCD controller with scheduled availability in January 2015 is now live on the Digital View main website, click here for details.
In addition to support for LCD panels and input signals with a resolution of 2560×1600 and 1920×1920 the SVX-2560 offers support for 4K Ultra-HD input with downscaling to 1920×1080 for Full-HD LCD panels.
Other advanced features include image flip (horizontal & vertical) which is good for teleprompters and similar applications, sensor monitor and fan control in addition to the normal suite of Digital View LCD controller commands over RS-232 (serial) and Ethernet suitable for digital signage applications, as well as dual digital Picture-in-Picture (PiP).
As discussed in the previous blog article the SVX-2560 with its full frame memory buffer supports turning video-lock off meaning that the output frequency to the LCD panel is decoupled from the input frequency. The memory buffer also enables functions such as image overlay markers and more advanced color and image management.
